Bluffing in Online Poker
I play Texas Hold ‘em poker quite frequently, about twice or thrice a month, and I have been winning pretty consistently. I’m what you might call a pretty aggressive player: I love to bully my opponents around. I’m a good bluffer, and I think I’m also able to spot a bluff quite well. But I’m beginning to get bored, not by the game, really, but by the level of competition I’m exposed to.
I’m excited to try out online poker. I know I’ll get to bluff a lot and get away with it more easily because my opponents won’t be able to see my tells. Unfortunately, that also works the other way around: I’ll have a harder time spotting the tells of my opponents and picking out bluffs. Which means I’ll have to rely more on other stuff like poker odds; a situation which I’m not very excited about.
That was until a friend showed me the Poker Odds Calculator. He started using it a couple of months ago, and he’s been winning pretty consistently. The application computes for odds and other statistics and makes this information readily available to the player; with this online poker calculator, I can concentrate on playing my bluffing game.
